Athleticism matters. But knowing how to play matters longer.
If you are not the fastest or highest jumper, you need advantages that do not depend on bounce. Angles. timing. strength. footwork. decisions.
Pick one physical gap and one skill gap. Maybe first step and finishing. Maybe strength and shooting off movement. Train both for 8 weeks.
Do not waste energy wishing for somebody else's body. Build the body you have into something useful.
There is more than one way to be hard to guard.
