“How do I stop letting one mistake turn into five mistakes?”
Elijah's answer
The first mistake is basketball. The next four are usually emotion.
After you mess up, your brain wants to fix your reputation immediately. That is when you force a steal, rush a shot, or stop talking.
Build a reset you can do in three seconds. Clap once. Touch your chest. Say next play. Then sprint to the next job.
Practice it when you are not mad so it shows up when you are.
Great players do not avoid mistakes. They keep one mistake from becoming a run.
